GENEROUS GRACE

GENEROUS GRACE

LUKE 23:40-43 AMP  “But the other one rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? We are suffering justly, because we are getting what we deserve for what we have done; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” And he was saying, “Jesus, [please] remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” Jesus said to him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

Two people were crucified with Jesus, both were guilty.  One admitted that he is justly punished.  He admitted he is guilty. He acknowledged that Jesus is God and said:  “Remember me when You come into Your Kingdom”.

Years ago, I showed a friend the testimony of Heidi de Beer, she was a satanist who converted to Christ. The friend was addicted to alcohol and after the testimony, his comment was:  “If I was as bad as her, I would also repent”.

Such a person is righteous in himself.  If someone is righteous in himself, they do not need to make Jesus Lord in their life.  When we admit that we need our Father’s grace and declare our dependence on Him, we can know that we will be with Him in Paradise.

Let us examine ourselves thoroughly and understand how dependent we are on God’s grace.
