A KNOCK AT THE DOOR – WILL YOU OPEN

REVELATION 3:20  “Look, I stand at the door and I knock. If anyone hears My Voice and opens the door, I will go in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”

HEBREWS 3:14-15  “for we have become partakers of Christ, if we only hold fast the beginning of our trust to the end; because it is said: Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in bitterness.”

The Lord stands at the door every day, we then make the decision to open the door and invite Him into our lives or not.  When we open the door, we begin a life walk with Him.  However, this is a daily struggle and decision to give Him full control of your life.  Yes, we are His children, heirs of God the Father and co-heirs with Christ, but we must daily give the control of our lives to the Lord.  If we don’t do that, we start to walk in the flesh and the Word says “Walk by The Spirit”.

And He says to everyone in LUKE 9:23:  “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross every day and follow Me.

Why does Jesus say we must take up out cross every day? Because our “own selves, the me, myself and I” wants to get up daily.  I have seen many preachers get strong in their own selves, including me.  When “the I” grows strong, there will be no place for Jesus at the table of my life.

Die to I and live for Christ.
