STAND FIRM IN FAITH

EPHESIANS 4:13 -15 AMP  “Until we all reach oneness in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, [growing spiritually] to become a mature believer, reaching to the measure of the fullness of Christ [manifesting His spiritual completeness and exercising our spiritual gifts in unity]. [14] So that we are no longer children [spiritually immature], tossed back and forth [like ships on a stormy sea] and carried about by every wind of [shifting] doctrine, by the cunning and trickery of [unscrupulous] men, by the deceitful scheming of people ready to do anything [for personal profit]. [15] But speaking the truth in love [in all things – both our speech and our lives expressing His truth], let us grow up in all things into Him [following His example] who is the Head – Christ,”

The only tree that does not grow is a dead tree, the Lord says we must bear fruit, He also says a tree is known by its fruit.  Then JUDE 1:20 says, “But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit”.

We must grow in the Lord; we must become stronger every day. Our body grows older, but our spirit is eternal.

1 JOHN 5:11  “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.”

If we are to bear the fruit of the Spirit we must plant this spiritual tree by streams of water, as Psalm 1:1-3 says, we must constantly meditate on the Word of God and feed ourselves.

Our body and mind are temporary, our spirit is eternal.  Let us become stronger every day by strengthening our knowledge and relationship with God until we are spiritually mature. Jesus says in MATTHEW 5:6 AMP  “Blessed [joyful, nourished by God’s goodness] are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [those who actively seek right standing with God], for they will be [completely] satisfied.”
