ETERNITY IS FOREVER

LUKE 3:4  “As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him”

Life is short, and time passes so quickly. It is important that we, use our time wisely. Someone once said “Life is short, enjoy it.  Eternity is forever, prepare for it”.

John the Baptist preached and said  “Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight”

Don’t let the cares or the pleasures of life distract you from God and make your paths crooked. The Word says in, HEBREWS 12:2  AMP  “[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work”.

Jesus endured the cross because he knew the joy, He had in store for us and for Him, namely many people who will celebrate eternity with Him.

Let us not focus so much on the temporal so that we miss the eternal.  2 CORINTHIANS 4:17  “For our light affliction, which is for a moment, worketh for us a surpassing eternal weight of glory;”

Do the good that your hand finds to do, enjoy your life because it is short. But prepare for eternity, it is forever.
