DO IT IN LOVE
GALATIANS 6:1 “Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted.”
MATTHEW 7:5 “Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.”
If someone is overtaken by some trespasses – when we fall, we have given the devil a place. At that point, there is separation between the one who falls and the Lord. I am not saying that the person is now lost, however, the way we work with such a person must not be with hardness of heart, so he does not become rebellious. When we work with someone through gentleness and love without judgment, we draw them closer.
Then only can we help remove the hook that the devil used to catch them, in love. The moment we condemn someone who has sinned without love, we must know that we have a log in our eye. That’s why Jesus says, “first remove the log”. Then if you work with God’s attitude namely in gentleness and love, we bring healing.
